The Churchill Society of North Carolina will hold a Winston Churchill Student Seminar on February 24, 2010 at the Charlotte Museum of History in Charlotte, NC.  This will be a full-day program for up to 125 invited junior and senior high school students from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and will include educational programs about the life of Winston Churchill, his impact on twentieth-century history and his relevance to our world today.

This program will include discussion of the many aspects of Winston Churchill and his impact on twentieth century history.  We are honored to have Dr. Robert Whalen of Queens University in Charlotte, NC,  lead the afternoon program on Churchill from WWII to present.

In addition to the student program, a Teacher Seminar on Winston Churchill and Twentieth Century History will be held as part of the in-service training program in UCPS.

These programs are key elements in the mission of The Churchill Society of North Carolina to support educational efforts in the State of North Carolina and promote the study of the life of Sir Winston Churchill as an example of statesmanship, leadership and courage as well as his relevance to twenty-first century challenges.
